Water Flows Uphill For Hawaii Beauty Queen WAIKOLOA, HI -- In an astounding public event at an Oahu recreation are this week, a torrent of water raged uphill at the command of a local Hawaii Beauty Queen. Vernelle Chew Inn Kam, known locally as the Cactus of Waikiki, tapped her heels together three times in full view of hundreds of resort guests. Instantly, water from a pool at Waimea Falls began flowing up a nearby cliff. The unusual event was recorded on videotape by numerous tourists. Ms. Kam has a history of similar publicly recorded events. In 1981, she wriggled her nose three times and promptly received a marriage proposal from a deaf dumb and blind tourist visiting the islands. In 1982, she swallowed a whole watermellon and later gave birth to twins. Ms. Kam also was known to make the faces of immediate family members freeze and their hearts pound with terror simply by giving them very dirty looks. NEXT PHOTO PREVIOUS PHOTO PHOTO NOTES Hmmm.
