Cindy Crawford Loses Pepsi Deal To New Model
HONOLULU, HI -- Pepsico
announced today that super model Cindy Crawford will be replaced as spokesmodel for
Pepsi-Cola.
Vernelle Kam McElfresh, known as The Cactus of Waikiki in her native
Honolulu, has been signed to replace Crawford as the model on Pepsi TV commercials.
Miss McElfresh is shown in a photo to the left following a TV commercial
video tape session to introduce new Pepsi Pink.
Pepsico officials indicated that her recently signed 10-year contract
is worth an estimated $144,000,000.
Miss Crawford, reportedly despondent at losing the lucrative Pepsi
deal, remained in seclusion at her home in Colby, KS.
Advertising executives said that Miss McElfresh had developed a
special way of using her voluptuous lips to empty the contents from a can of Pepsi.

PHOTO NOTES
Wow. A picture is worth a thousand words, huh?
Doesn't Vernelle look great?
This is one of my all time favorite photographs. Besides the one
where she's pregnant, that is.
Uh, well, there's also the photo where she's caught 'milking' body
fluids for the boy's lunch.
Hmmm. And then there's that photograph of her eating a manapua.
In one bite.
And then there are all those National Inquirer photos. But outside
of those, this one is a favorite.
See me for reprints.
The photo in the story above was taken by a friend in a photo studio
in Honolulu in late 1995.
