Twins Arrive At Record Pace; Crib Supply Drops
BOWLING GREEN, MO -- Twins in this small Northeast Missouri town have been arriving in record numbers recently causing a dramatic crib shortage.

In one five month period, two sets of twins were born to members of the local congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Pictured to the right are two local families and their twin boys. Both families are reportedly using rented cattle troughs as cribs because of the tight supply.

Some families whose children have already grown and left home have been refurbishing and renting older cribs. News reports indicate that the cribs have been renting for hundreds of dollars per month.

PIX NOTES

The picture above has Mike and Nancy Wilson and their twin boys, Caleb and Stephen. Both are over six feet tall now. Their daughter, Andrea, can be seen between the families. She's not that tall.

I studied the Bible with Mike before moving to attend the University of Hawaii in Honolulu. Mike was the ring leader in a duplicate wedding ceremony given to Vernelle and I when we moved to Missouri a few years later.

The friends there presented us with Bowls of Holy Macaroni as part of the ceremony.

We had to dress up in bib overalls. Fortunately, we didn't have to go door-to-door dressed that way.
