Martians Land On Beach
HONOLULU, HI -- Military officials in Hawaii were stunned today when three Martians came ashore on a remote island beach.

Local resident Ron McElfresh saw the Martians land not far from Chinaman's Hat, a small island on Oahu's north shore. This is the only known photo.

A US Marine spokesperson from nearby Kaneohe Marine Corps Airbase indicated that the Martians had taken up residence on the island for some time before coming ashore disguised as tourists from Missouri.

The Marine official said tourists from Missouri have a unique look which makes them easy to identify.

Marine Corp fighters were dispatch from the Airbase but the Martians could not be found. Local officials feared that they may have used their disguise as tourists to seek accommodations in Waikiki.

PHOTO NOTES

Martians?

Missourians.

Is there a difference?

This is a photo of my Grandmother Irene, who claims to be 102 years old, my mother, Joyce, and her husband Bob. They're not making any claims.

This photo was from a vacation to Hawaii in early 1995.

Grandma had just finished surfing the famous Banzai Pipeline.

Chinaman's hat is the island in the background.

The photo in the story above was taken during their visit to Hawaii early in 1995.
