The McPhoto Gallery contains many photographs of the current generation McElfresh Family.

Post your own Comment about this photo and caption in the fields below Most of our early photographs as a family were black and white. It’s not that we didn’t live in color. We did. Photos of any kind, black and white or color, were hard to come by in those days. Today, I can shoot 230 photos and delete the 218 crummy ones and not blink or give it a thought. Back in those days, there seemed to be two kinds of photos. Special events photos from someone who had a camera. Special events where everyone dressed up and trucked downtown somewhere for an Olan Mills photo special. In this photo, Mom was about 2, had four boys already, and had stopped smiling. Dad’s hair was beginning to thin, and he wasn’t smiling either. I don’t think it had anything to do with having four boys. Posted on Sep 7, 2005 • View more photos in Dad •
