Post your own Comment about this photo and caption in the fields below The Big Island of Hawaii does not have many great beaches, especially when compared to Maui. This beach is on the Kona side of Hawaii. What’s a hotel developer supposed to do? In the case of the resort Hualalai, they charge more money. $20 an hour (in 20 hour increments) seems to be the least expensive room for locals who have a friend who works at the Hualalai. The beach is ordinary by Hawaii standards, though folks from Traverse City, MI may find it among the world’s best. It’s not. Posted on Sep 11, 2005 • View more photos in Hawaii •
