Dad was in the Navy. This photo dates from the mid 1940s. This is not how I remember dad, though this photo shows where my great looks originate.

One of my major projects for 2005 is to gather as many old family photographs, digitize to the computer, and create a family photo album that can be shared with others; mom, dad, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, my brother, and our children.

There are over 1,000 older family photos so the project may take awhile. There’s also a few thousand more of my children and family.

Everyone has cherished photos of their parents, friends, family, children. This is a photo of my mom taken by Olan Mills back in 1958.

As a family, we don’t have many photographs from the 1940s, 1950s, or the 1960s, though this is one of my favorites. If you’ve ever wondered where I got my great looks, wonder no more.
